My background comes from the printing industry, where I owned a company that manufactured all types of plastic cards (credit cards, ATM cards, library cards, etc.).  Part of the process is design work, and after selling my company and retiring early, I began learning the process of digitizing for the embroidery industry and applying my 20+ years experience in the graphics arts industry.

After uploading 100's of free designs to many online forums, I began offering some of my more complex items on etsy.com.  However, uploading free designs to the four forums I am active in became time-consuming as each site would have to have identical data submitted, taking time away from the design process.  So, PesVault.com was born to allow me to continue to offer the designs for free and have a place to sell designs for instant download.  All of the designs here are created/edited in CorelDraw or Adobe Illustrator and then digitized in separate software (Drawings), and with the exception of the custom-made items, are available for instant download.  By utilizing industry-standard graphics applications, many times I can create complex designs at a fraction of what it would cost using standard embroidery design tools, and a final product that is much more accurate.

I hope you enjoy the designs you find here, and if you have any special requests, please feel free to email me through the online form!  If you see a design you like, but it is the wrong size, let me know - because they're designed in vector-format, resizing and redigitizing is rather easy, so don't let a purchase scare you off just because of the size!

A final note about some of the content of the site.  You'll find designs for democrats, republicans, christians, wiccans, muslims, athiests, gay, straight, black, white, green, blue, etc.  I hope by offering a wide variety of designs that you come to count on PesVault.com when you're looking for something non-traditional.  I also hope that if your views are opposite of a particular design or its meaning, that you will understand that by offering it for sale, it does not necessarily mean that the people behind PesVault.com support it, but that we understand that there are people that do and would like to have a means to show their individual support.

You just registered and it looks like you've been banned from the site?  You must be a really bad person, so much so that your reputation preceeds you and you are on the official Federation of Internet Baddies list (F.I.B.).

All kidding aside, if you receive this message, it only means one thing - that you haven't clicked on the link in your confirmation email to activate your account.  The only requirement at PesVault.com is that you use a valid email to register, and when you sign up, an automatic email is sent to that email address.  If you use a fake email address, or typo when you type your actual email, it won't make it to you.  In addition, be sure to check your spam folders as some ISP's are too aggressive with their spam filtering and it sometimes gets caught in those since all confirmation emails look similar (see my Yahoo post below).

If you have looked and looked and do not see the confirmation email, email me from the account you registered with and state your user ID and I'll look into it!

The cost of a design is directly related to the time involved in creating it.  When you have to create more than one format, it adds to the overall time needed to create the item for sale.  Most people who purchase online designs (especially fonts) have the ability to open and do some minor editing or combining and then save in the format of their machine.  Because studies have shown the .pes format to be the most widely accepted by software, we output our files in this versatile format (which includes color information).

Of course, when you order our custom files (either the custom names, or a custom digitizing service), you can request any format you like!

There are many free applications out there for converting your files too!  Here are a couple of the more popular ones:

Short version:  Use the designs in any manner you like, as many times as you wish, for items for yourself, friends or to sell.  Don't sell, giveaway, transfer, copy, fold, spindle, mutilate the digital design file or any derivative work from it.

Long version (with a rant): What is it with design sites that limit you on how you can use the item you purchased?!  With the obvious exception of copyrighted images (licensed characters, etc.), we don't limit you to 10, 25, 50 uses like "some other sites".  You paid for it, use it!  And if you're happy with it, tell your friends about this site so they can buy their own copy!  Now, if you take one of our 'inspired' designs and use it to make a knockoff of a trademarked image, you're on your own as that is not the intention of those designs.

Stitch out our designs as many times as you like (and even send photos - you can earn more designs for free!).  After you make your first $1,000,000.00, send us a token amount as a "Thank You".

But, don't even think about giving a copy of the design to your friends or enemies, or selling them on the internet or karma will bite you.  You can alter the designs as you see fit, but cannot sell or giveaway these derivitive designs (just the final stitched-out products). 

At PesVault.com, we realize there is a vast number of different machines, threads and skill levels of everyone who embroiders.  Rather than just show you a stitchout from one machine stitched under ideal conditions, we would like to show our customers many different stitchouts of the same design!  In return, we will be giving $1.00 store credit for each usable photo you send of an actual stitchout.  No limit to how many you can submit, and this includes stitchouts of our free designs or designs you either purchased from us in the past or downloaded from some of the online forums!

Please include the following information:

• Machine used for stitchout
  
• Thread brand/type used
• Material and stabilizer used
• Acknowlegement of permission for PesVault.com to publish the photos online

We are aware of an issue with those of you trying to register using a Yahoo email address (and sometimes RoadRunner).  It seems that in their infinite wisdom they have decided that all email originating from GoDaddy.com (our host) is probably spam, and should be routed to your "Bulk Email" folder by default.  Your confirmation registration email will come from the following email address:  This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , so be sure to add it to your white list or check your spam folders for your confirmation email.

I have been in contact with their IT department to try to get this rectified, but you would not believe the amount of work and hoops you must jump through just to get their 'consideration' to add PesVault.com to their internal "Approved Senders" white list.  It is no wonder investors are trying to oust their CEO!
